The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the high quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated here to service the area on a daily basis. The company place designed for intervention experiences a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
